10,000 Trees for the Rouge Events

10,000 Trees for the Rouge is looking for hundreds of volunteers to join us at our fall planting events in the Markham and Pickering area. Join us to plant 3,000 trees, shrubs and wildflowers to enhance the Rouge River Watershed. More details and the link to the registration is on our website at: www.10000trees.com.  Registration is required. 

This fall, we are planting at the following locations:

  • Austin Drive Park, Markham, ON: Saturday, September 28

  • Rouge National Urban Park, Pickering, ON: October 19 and 20

Town of Georgina Events:

We have two upcoming community planting events on the 21st and on the 22nd of September from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Willow Wharf (Georgina). It's a family friendly event where we will be planting native trees and shrubs.

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Some more important information. Attendees, please wear: 

  • Closed-toed shoes or boots (no sandals)

  • Gardening gloves, if you have them (we will have extras)  

  • Appropriate clothing – the event runs rain or shine
